San Diego Comic-Con is back for 2023, but this year’s event will be a bit quieter compared to previous years. Several major players, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, HBO, Universal, Sony, and Netflix, have chosen not to participate due to the ongoing writers’ strike and the possibility of an actor’s strike. However, there are still some notable panels to look forward to during the event, even if the attendance of actors and writers is uncertain.

Max Original Animation and Paramount Pictures

The first day of Comic-Con will feature panels such as Max Original Animation, where fans can expect exclusive sneak peeks, surprise guests, and more. Paramount Pictures will also present a panel discussion and footage presentation on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.”

From “Ghosts” to “Project K”

The popular CBS and Paramount+ comedy, “Ghosts,” will return to Comic-Con after a season cliffhanger. Another intriguing panel is “Project K: Inside India’s History-Making Sci-Fi Epic,” which showcases a unique blend of ancient mythology and science fiction, featuring stars Kamal Hassan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone.

“Cruel Summer” Season 2 and “Peacock’s Original Comedy Series Twisted Metal”

The stars and creative team behind Freeform’s hit series, “Cruel Summer,” will offer a glimpse behind the scenes of the show’s second season, teasing the twists and turns that await viewers. Attendees can enjoy panels on various topics, including A24’s “Talk to Me,” FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows,” and an insightful discussion titled “Chasing ‘Chasing Amy’: How Fandom Inspires Creativity.” FX’s “Archer” will also host an exclusive screening and Q&A session for the show’s 14th and final season.
